PARK HILL TERRACES

Description:  Town Houses

Location:  Bruce, ACT

Client:  Syzygy

Photographer:  Brett Boardman

Park Hill Terraces is a development of 19 boutique dwellings that represent a sculptural departure from the typical townhouse streetscape. Through a variation in materials and floor plans, the terraces establish their own identity and relationship to the street and provide residents with spatially innovative and nuanced living experiences.

Influenced by the ‘Nuts and Berries’ or Sydney regional style of architecture, the development makes a dynamic contribution to a streetscape and directly responds to the heavily constrained site.  Internal programming is managed through a split-level approach, with a generous living and dining area on the lower floor and stairs leading to a kitchen that occupies the middle level and looks out onto an enclosed sky garden.  The stair continues to the upper bedroom floor, providing maximum privacy and separation between living and sleeping areas.

Park Hill Terraces represent an exciting and contemporary alternative to the typical medium-density living experience.
